A Journey of Revelation and Empowerment
For Girls in 7th through 12th Grade
Thank you for considering becoming one of our Host Conference locations. I received a mandate from the Lord during a Christwalk Church revival meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 to revamp a nine year old vision for a Young Women’s Conference and to take it to “each school district in each county in every state.” Although this mandate was initially received as being overwhelming and daunting, Luke 1:37 reminded me “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Paul adds in I Corinthians 12:12-13, “The body is a unit, though it is composed of many parts. And although its parts are many, they all form one body. So it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink.” There are many churches across this great country representing a vast array of denominations, but His Word tells us we are to work together as one body. Our young women today not only need our prayers, they need our investment.
This conference is aimed at teen girls aged 13 to 18 to address cultural issues specific to them and offer wisdom in becoming a godly woman. The choices our young women make as they navigate their turbulent teen years affect who they are becoming long before they ever get to college or enter into adulthood. The Survey of Young Americans by the Harvard Kennedy School in 2019 reports “Only 12% of young people ages 18-24 identify as evangelical Christians, less than half the national average.” As the body of Christ, we need to work together to teach our teenage daughters how to accept God’s truth into their own heart, and how doing so can help shape their thought patterns, identity, and actions. We need to help them see God less as an iconic figure and more as an intimate friend, one who truly loves them and who is there to help them through the troubled waters of high school, and who will be with them for the rest of their life.
Host Churches agree to provide our Young Women's Conference 100% free of any charge or fee to the girls attending. We have three options for hosting an In Their Shoes: A Journey of Revelation and Empowerment Young Women’s Conference:
Option 1 Host Church Handles Everything - $1,000.00 plus shipping of Conference Kit to your location
A Conference Kit is purchased which contains four DVD videos, one for each of the four workshops. The Host Church will provide a facilitator for each workshop to present the workshop's video and to guide and control discussion of the content.
The kit will also contain 100 Conference Bags, 100 Conference Notebooks with outline notes for each workshop, 100 Conference ink pens, 100 charm bracelets, 100 of each of the 6 Conference Charms, and 100 Conference T-shirt Iron-on Transfers. The Host Church will provide the t-shirts and apply the transfers.
For an additional fee of $700.00, we can send a second mailing with 100 Conference t-shirts in the sizes selected when the girls completed their registration for your conference.
The Conference Kit will be mailed upon receipt of Conference Contract with a firm Conference Date. We suggest a minimum lead time of two months for promotion of your conference and also time for your workshop leaders and emcee for the opening program, lunch program and closing program to prepare. If Conference T-shirts are purchased from us, a second mailing of the shirts will be sent a minimum of two weeks prior to your conference date or earlier as soon as 100 registrations are received.
Option 2 In Their Shoes will present the Conference at Host Church Location
Everything is the same as Option 1 plus additional charge for transportation, lodging and meals for a minimum of 6 people for 2 nights. We do not charge for our time. The blessing of a Love Offering would be permissible but not expected. This option is subject to our staff availability for your conference date.
This option works well if your church does not have enough volunteers qualified and confident to facilitate one or more of the workshops. Thus, everything is the same as Option 1 plus additional charge for transportation, lodging and meals for the people requested for 2 nights. We do not charge for our time. The blessing of a Love Offering would be permissible but not expected. This option is subject to our staff availability for your conference date.
